Programs Designed for Every Stage

Our program offers a wide variety of activities to enhance children’s learning through play-based activities. We follow both a theme-based & faith-based curriculum.

Dreamers & Explorers

Dreamers
Our Dreamers program is for our infants ages 3 months-24 months. In these two rooms, we focus on providing a safe and loving environment where children receive loving, quality care. We keep our ratios small so our infants receive individualized attention and can form a strong attachment with their teachers.

Explorers
Our Explorers program is for our 2-year-olds. We strive to promote a play-based environment that encourages learning through exploring and hands-on experiences. We focus on providing a nurturing and safe environment for children to begin to build friendships and develop language skills. In this program, the children begin curriculum work and start to explore art, science, literacy, and circle time.

Building Confidence Through Exploration

Imagineers & Adventurers
Our Imagineers & Adventurers rooms are preschool rooms for ages 3-4. These rooms aim to foster a curiosity for learning and continue developing their social and emotional skills. They will expand on their art, science, and literacy skills by learning through discovery and experimentation through our theme-based curriculum. They also begin the Orange curriculum, which encourages children to form a relationship with God by learning through stories, pictures, and songs about Him.

Innovators
Our innovators are our pre-k class, ages 4-5 years old. In this classroom, we focus on Transitional Kindergarten readiness, where children acquire the skills to be prepared for their transition. They will continue to follow the theme-based Orange curriculum but will also begin the Handwriting Without Tears program, which helps equip them for early writing skills. Our goal is that your child will graduate from this program with a strong self-image and a relationship with God that will lead to excellence in future endeavors!

Creators
Our Creators program is for our TK qualified children and is the equivalent of a Kindergarten readiness program. We offer both a part day and full day option for this program. This play based program equips children with the skills needed to enter into Kindergarten the following year using the current CA standards. Your child will graduate with early literacy skills, fine motor skills, emotional regulation and a love for learning that will lead into their future school experience.

Our Teachers

Caring & Qualified Staff

Our caring staff realizes the importance to help each child develop to his or her full potential.

Our teachers are dedicated early childhood professionals and play an important role in shaping and influencing the children’s learning and environment. They love and study the field and are knowledgeable in what children need to excel in their faith and reach developmental milestones. Many of our teachers have bachelor’s degrees in the field and have obtained their core Early Childhood units. At Northgate we offer opportunities for developmental growth through continued learning, professional development and trainings so our teachers stay up to date with the latest research in the Early Childhood Education field.

What Parents Are Saying

From first-time parents to large families, here are what some of them have to say about us.

Tim Head

Northgate has been an incredible facility to see my kids grow. The team here are so organized, genuine, and caring. The amount of thought that goes into every last detail from: checking in your kids, to a debrief about your toddlers nap schedule for the day, to daily classroom photos to keep the parents updated while their away is unlike any other daycare you will find. Most importantly, every single staff member truly know the families here and are connected to the children and their needs. So happy all of my kids attend Northgate!

Dawn Curtis

I know that everyday I drop my child off at Northgate, he will be well cared after, he will be safe, and he will be treated with kindness and compassion. The classroom offers a positive and safe environment for him to continue learning and growing. The teachers have offered amazing communication and always update me on how his day was. Every morning my child is welcomed into the classroom with a smile and open arms. The staff here loves their job, and it is visible every day. I feel at ease when my child is here, and I know that he is enjoying his day and learning so much each and every day. I couldn't think of a better childcare center than Northgate.

Marion Bungay

As a first time mom, finding a place who will take care of your one and only baby isn't easy. When discovering Northgate it is like a second home; not only for my baby, but for us too. Ms Amanda is very helpful and like a blessing in disguise to our little family. The rooms are always clean and sanitized and they also have lots of fun and educational stuff planned for the kiddos. Most importantly, the teachers and staff are all very kind, loving, caring and treat the kids as their own. They all go absolutely above and beyond. My baby is excited everyday to go there and see her teachers and friends. They make her feel loved and cared for and developed her love for learning. I just couldn't imagine myself leaving her anywhere else. I highly recommend them for all the families looking for a place to entrust their little ones. They are simply the best!

Chelsea Masters

We are so grateful for the intentional and loving care our daughter gets at Northgate. Amanda, Jeanine, and all the staff provide a safe, warm, and caring atmosphere for all the children that attend. Our daughter will move on to Kindergarten next year, but the impact of the care she had at Northgate will carry on.

Aaron Kolysko

Northgate Childcare Center has been awesome for our family. Our 3.5 year old daughter loves attending. Her teachers are absolutely amazing - as is the whole staff - and we know she is in good hands. Crafts, singing, learning, playing, making friends… it’s so much fun to hear about her days! Would recommend to anyone, and plan to have our younger daughter attend when she’s ready.

Victoria Mendonca

We are so grateful to have found Northgate. We trust them to care for our children, and they have not disappointed. The Teachers are experienced and genuinely kind, the curriculum is fantastic, and the facility is clean.

Rebecca Steussy

My son loves this school! Everyone is so kind and loving here you can just tell how much the teachers love the children and my son has learned so much he is ready for kindergarten now!

Cassidy Stella

I wish I knew about this daycare sooner, it’s been a wonderful experience so far! My daughter always comes home happy. The teachers have all been so kind and great with communication during pickups. They provide lots of activities for the kids to do and let the kids just be kids.

Erica Horton

This childcare has been such a blessing for our family. The teachers are wonderful and do lots of fun and educational projects with the kids. We have had nothing, but positive experiences here.

The Saldaña Family (Crystal, Demian and Hazel Grace)

Our family has been so blessed to have found Northgate preschool. We are seeing so much improvement in our 3.5 year old daughter’s social skills and she is really starting to come out of her shy shell. We especially love the God-centered curriculum, outside playtime, and the creative artwork our daughter brings home each week. Ms. Amanda has really created an amazing program at Northgate and we love our teachers Ms. Jackie and Ms. Christina!

Alex & Jessica Lobban

Our son has really enjoyed being a part of the Northgate Childcare center. He is well cared for , safe and growing in confidence with each day. We felt he was so well cared for here that we have signed our daughter up to begin in August of this year. We really appreciate the kindness and patience of his teachers and the communication from the leadership team. They are an extension of our family while both my wife and I work full time. Would recommend highly.

Common Questions

Here are some common questions that we are asked regarding our preschool/childcare.

Communication with families is a priority at Northgate. We use the Brightwheel app to keep parents connected to their child’s day and make communication with our teachers and administrative team simple and convenient.

Families receive regular updates through Brightwheel, including photos, classroom activities, important reminders, and messages. For our infant and toddler programs, families also receive daily updates about meals, naps, diaper changes, and other care routines.

In addition to Brightwheel, we keep families informed through newsletters, in-person teacher check-ins, and parent-teacher conferences. We value open communication and believe a strong partnership between home and school is an important part of each child’s experience at Northgate.
