As Northgate wrapped up the Hope & Help Series, the summer sermon series on mental health, we (the Northgate Family Ministry Team) wanted to extend the conversation to parents. These Heart 2 Heart Conversations are a safe place to open up and learn about mental health and what it looks like in our kids' lives today. Each conversation begins with a speaker and closes with a small group discussion.

Now more than ever, our kids and teens are grappling with stress, anxiety, and fear. The challenges they face are intricate and diverse. In this seminar, Brock Morgan, drawing from his latest book, The Anxious Teen, will provide a framework to help us comprehend the anxiety-laden reality of today. He will impart skills and practices that can transform our homes and assist parents in guiding their children toward a resilient and healthy faith and life.

Introducing Brock Morgan: Guest Speaker

Brock Morgan is the author of twenty books, including Parent’s Guide to Teenage Guys, Youth Ministry in a Post-Christian World, and The Beautiful Rebellion. His most recent book, The Anxious Teen, is all about the struggle that is going on in the hearts and minds of today’s young people and how we might respond and be a part of bringing health and wholeness. He began his career as a youth worker over 30 years ago and has never looked back. He is a popular speaker for camps, retreats, and conferences and is the Associate Pastor at The Bridge in Chino, California. His happy place is on a surfboard and wherever his wife Kelsey of 29 years is. Together, they have a daughter named Dancin and a puppy named C.S. Lewis.
