Here is a look into the Faithful series that our Kids Ministry will be walking through this August! We are starting at the very beginning and teaching the kids about a few of the stories found in Genesis and Exodus that demonstrate God's faithfullness and goodness.
Intro God’s faithfulness remains even as people display unfaithfulness to Him. It isn’t long before sin takes over the world. God is saddened by this change in the way people relate to Him and each other. Through the life of Noah, God shows He honors those who do what is right, and He is faithful to bring Isaac and Rebekah together so His chosen people can grow. When His people are oppressed, God sends help and lets them know they are His, and when God gives the Law, He shows that His people are set apart. In this series, we’ll celebrate that God is the faithful God who will always be faithful to His people!
WORD OF WONDER: So I want you to realize that the Lord your God is God. He is the faithful God. He keeps his covenant for all time to come. He keeps it with those who love him and obey his commandments. He shows them his love. —Deuteronomy 7:9
WEEK 2: NOAH WONDER TRUTH: God Honors Righteousness SCRIPTURE: Genesis 6–9 GOD’S BIG STORY: Sin in the world increases so greatly God chooses to destroy the world in a flood. Still, He remains faithful and honors righteousness by saving Noah and his family and establishing a covenant promise with them.

WEEK 3: ISAAC AND REBEKAH WONDER TRUTH: God Is Faithful SCRIPTURE: Genesis 24 GOD’S BIG STORY: Abraham’s servant travels to find a wife for Abraham’s son Isaac. God provides a bride, Rebekah, and proves faithful in keeping His promises.

WEEK 4: BABY MOSES WONDER TRUTH: God Sends Help to His People SCRIPTURE: Exodus 1–2 GOD’S BIG STORY: Pharaoh’s decree to kill all male Hebrew babies threatens the life of newborn Moses. God sends help to rescue Moses, who would one day lead God’s people out of slavery in Egypt.

WEEK 5: GOD GIVES THE LAW WONDER TRUTH: God Sets Apart His People SCRIPTURE: Exodus 20 GOD’S BIG STORY: God brings the Israelites to Mount Sinai to make a covenant—or unbreakable promise— with them. He gives them His good commandments so the world will know they are His set-apart people.
