We are starting off the New Year with learning all about Jesus!
Who is Jesus? He is the exact likeness of God—the physical representation of God on earth. As a child and later as an adult, Jesus shows us what God is like. This series will help us understand Jesus and who He is. He is the Messiah, and God the Father speaks words of affirmation at His baptism. When Jesus is led into the wilderness and His humanity is put on display, He is tempted and does not sin. Through His first miracle, we see Jesus reveal to His followers that He is amazing. The more we know Him, the more we know God, and the more we are drawn to Him.

Week One WONDER TRUTH: Jesus Shows Us What God Is Like SCRIPTURE: Luke 2 GOD’S BIG STORY: After visiting Jerusalem for the Passover Feast, 12-year-old Jesus stays behind at the temple while His family travels home. He talks with the Jewish teachers and amazes many with His insights. Week 1 Devo
Week Two WONDER TRUTH: Jesus Is God’s Son SCRIPTURE: Mark 1; Matthew 3 GOD’S BIG STORY: John the Baptist prepares the way for Jesus by encouraging people to repent and be baptized. At Jesus’ baptism, God reveals that Jesus is His own Son. Week 2 Devo
Week Three WONDER TRUTH: Jesus Was Tempted and Never Sinned SCRIPTURE: Matthew 4; Hebrews 4 GOD’S BIG STORY: After Jesus fasts for 40 days and nights, Satan tempts Him three times. Each time, Jesus answers the tempter by quoting Scripture and does not sin, choosing instead to trust God. Week 3 Devo
Week Four WONDER TRUTH: Jesus Reveals that He Is Amazing SCRIPTURE: John 2 GOD’S BIG STORY: Jesus and His disciples are attending a wedding in Cana when the wine runs out. Jesus turns water into wine, giving a great gift to the wedding guests and revealing to His disciples that He is amazing. Week 4 Devo
