October in Kids Church

As we enter into this series, we are inviting the kids to listen for the voice of God, to remove distractions and focus on hearing Him. God loves you, and His voice— while powerful—is also one of comfort.

There’s power in knowing that the Creator of the universe speaks to us, that the Creator of the universe sent His Son to die for us and impart His Spirit on us. How does knowing these things make you feel?

Through the stories of Eli, Samuel, Jeroboam, Rehoboam, and Elijah, we’ll learn that God speaks to us, provides wise counsel, and encourages us.

This is more than just four lessons; it’s an opportunity for you to hear from God and excite wonder in the lives of kids. In the words of our Word of Wonder, “Come near to God, and he will come near to you” (James 4:8a).

Then God tells Elijah to stand on the mountain, where He comes in the most unexpected way—a gentle whisper.** Week 4 Family Devotional

This month in Kids Church

We all love a good rescue story where a hero arrives just in time to save the day! Because of our sin, we all need to be rescued—and God had the perfect plan for a rescue mission to save His people! God’s plan started long ago when He promised a Redeemer and Rescuer. The God Rescues series dives into four Old Testament stories of God working out His rescue plan among His people. In each lesson, kids will discover God’s plan, power, and care for His people as He leads the way for the greatest rescue of all time—salvation through Jesus.

This month's memory WORD OF WONDER: LORD and King, you have reached out your great and powerful arm. You have made the heavens and the earth. Nothing is too hard for you. —Jeremiah 32:17

Since August, Kids Church has been diving into the wonderful old stories of the Bible. This month, through the adventures of Isaiah, Esther, the fiery furnace, and Daniel in the lion's den, our kids will discover that they are never alone—God is ALWAYS with them.

God’s people often find themselves in strange and different places, surrounded by new customs, languages, and ways of worship. Even in these unusual situations, they are never alone. God is always at work, often behind the scenes, and sometimes He shows up in powerful ways to guide and protect His people in tough times. This series will explore how God works, calls, protects, and stays with His children. His promise to never leave us rings true for all of us today!"
