Rediscover the Holy Spirit as a present, personal guide who brings Scripture to life. If you’ve ever felt a gap between the vibrant faith of the Bible and your daily experience, this class offers space to explore that tension with honesty and hope. Each week will include video teaching and group discussion based on Tyler Staton’s The Familiar Stranger (Re)Introducing The Holy Spirit To Those In Search Of An Experiential Spirituality. During the course, you’ll learn to recognize the Spirit’s work in your own story and cultivate a more experiential, transformative spirituality. It’s an opportunity to move from knowing about God to walking closely with Him in a way that feels authentic, grounded, and alive.

By the end of this 7-week class, you will be able to:

• Define the Holy Spirit as “the Familiar Stranger,” the often acknowledged yet relationally unknown person of the Trinity.
• Recognize the person and work of the Holy Spirit throughout Scripture and in your lives.
• Analyze the person and work of the Holy Spirit through biblical images such as breath, water, dove, and life
• Explore Spiritempowered practices like discernment, prophecy, healing, and redemptive suffering.
• Assess increased awareness and understanding of the Holy Spirit’s presence and activity in their daily lives.
