Plan Your Visit | Northgate

We're Glad You're Here

We believe we must grow larger because we want to reach more people for Christ. At the same time, we must grow smaller because you matter.

Welcome to Northgate. Thank you for taking the time to check us out online. Our goal at Northgate is to help people become whole-hearted followers of Jesus. Particularly people who are not connected with the church. Maybe you've been burned by church, given up on church, or have no church experience at all. We want to help people discover a relationship with God that's authentic, relevant, and life-changing. If you look at the life and ministry of Jesus that's exactly what He did. He accepted people the way they were, He showed them what they could become, and then He helped them take the steps of faith to move them in that direction. Jesus engaged with irreligious people, He talked about real-life issues, and then He demonstrated His unconditional love on a cross. It's His grace that makes all the difference; and it's our hope and prayer that you experience the life-transforming power of His grace here at Northgate.

Take some time to check out our website, listen to a podcast or watch a sermon video and get a feel for who we are, but more importantly, we hope you'll come and meet us in person. When you come, come the way you are, engage in worship, and open your heart to see what God might have for you.

What Can You Expect?

At Northgate, we want you to feel welcome here — no matter if you've been coming to church for years, or if this is your first service.

At a weekend service, you can expect:
  • A “come as you are” atmosphere where everyone is welcome.
  • An exciting, themed children’s area with screened & trained volunteers – From loving care in the nursery to fun music in the elementary class, your child will be cared for in a safe, loving and encouraging environment.
  • An engaging Middle School & High School program designed to connect students with God in a way that makes sense.
  • An uplifting and exciting time of singing and worship led by a full team of singers and musicians whose entire goal is to usher you into an immersive encounter with God.
  • Relevant messages that apply to real life – Every week we know you'll laugh, be challenged to think, & walk away with something to put in practice.
Find your personal next step including:
  • A place to belong. Life Groups are the people you can grow, laugh, and serve with. We have groups for men, women, couples, students, hobbyists, athletes, and more!
  • A chance to make a difference. God created you with gifts and skills that you can use to change lives in your community and the world. Serve at Northgate or connect with one of our Life Group members to get started.
  • A way to grow. We want to equip you with the tools to develop as a fully devoted follower of Jesus. As an individual, family, or part of a Life Group, we have tools for your growth.
Your family will enjoy:
  • A place just for kids. Each weekend DIG (Digging Into God), newborns through 5th graders, learn the truth about who God is and who they are because of Him through age-specific lessons, small groups, and trusted adult leadership.
  • A space just for middle school students. MSN (Middle School at Northgate) meets on Tuesdays for students 6th through 8th grade. Loaded with fast-paced worship and interactive activities, it addresses real issues teens face each day.
  • A place for high school students. HSN (High School at Northgate) meets on Wednesday evenings for students 9th through 12th grade. Loaded with fast-paced worship and interactive activities, it addresses real issues teens face each day.

Common Questions

We want to understand your needs and tell you a bit more about us. Here are some frequently asked questions about Northgate.

What are the weekend gatherings like?

Every Sunday, you will find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with exciting and fresh worship music. There will be live teaching with a video wall displaying verses and relevant points. These combine to make a complete Sunday morning experience. Children are cared for in fun-filled DIG classrooms!

What will happen when I visit for the first time?

When you are visiting, we will not embarrass you or have you stand up. We know that many people want to check us out and be anonymous for a while—and that’s fine with us! Come meet some amazing people, have some free coffee, and see if Northgate is for you.

What should I wear?

You’ll find everything from shorts and flip flops to dress shirts and skirts. Come in what is comfortable for you, because Northgate is not about what you look like or what you wear.

What about my children?

At Northgate, your children are a top priority. We offer a dynamic children’s ministry called DIG (Digging Into God). DIG is staffed with loving, background-checked workers who will teach your children Biblical truths and show what it’s like to have fun worshiping Jesus! We encourage students 6th-12th Grade to join us for their respective middle school and high school groups.

How do I get there?
What Covid measures are being taken for gathering in-person?

First and foremost, we are asking people to be courteous and consider how we can love others in this time. We want people to take individual responsibility and respect other’s choices in response to current COVID-19 conditions. It is during times like this when controversial issues arise, where Christians are able to be unified despite differing opinions on non-salvation issues. This is a great opportunity as the Body of Christ to remain unified in Him and stay focused on His mission.

Messages will continue to be posted online and Life Groups will continue to offer digital options. If you are sick, or prefer to stay at home for now, then we have resources available for you. We encourage you to stay connected in community while distanced.

For everyone choosing to gather in person, we are so excited to see you! Masks and registration are not required. Sanitizing stations are available on site. We hope you will bring your friends!

I felt that the pastor was right on biblically and felt the holy spirit there, and my son who is 12 enjoyed listening to the service and got a lot out of it. He liked it and wanted to stay and I felt comfortable there as well.
